🟢UPDATE: Boulder High School EVACUATION/ REUNIFICATION PLEASE DO NOT COME TO BOULDER HIGH SCHOOL. The Boulder Valley School District has implemented an evacuation of Boulder High School following today’s LOCKDOWN.
Due to snow and worsening conditions expected overnight, all City of Boulder offices and facilities will be closed tomorrow, Jan. 18, 2023.
UPDATE: Per #Boulder County, they estimate 937 people were in the mandatory evacuation area, which included 389 structures (346 of them homes) #SunshineWildlandFire

So seen some confusion on the name of the fire. To my knowledge, it is still being called the #SunshineWildlandFire but on the scanner they have created a Sanitas and Sunshine command for crews to differentiate between the structure and wildfire responses
The #SunshineWilandFire is currently estimated to be 18 acres in size.
UPDATE: Per scanner, crews fighting the actual structure fire in Sunshine Canyon that started the wild fire have that scene contained to one structure, and fire is now smoldering. Again, this is not about the #SunshineWildlandFire, but the original structure fire that started it

OSMP Rangers are evacuating visitors from trails on Mount Sanitas. We are asking that anyone who is hiking on Mt. Sanitas area to leave the area now.
