Edinburgh students make history with ground-breaking rocket launch | Edinburgh Live
Endeavour, a team made up of students at the University of Edinburgh, travelled to take part in the European Rocketry Challenge in Ponte de Sor and were pleased to report their Darwin III rocket...
So worth it… CTI O3400, 6inch OD, 20kg CFRP Airframe, SRAD Avionics, 3kg 2U radiation physics payload. 570m/s (M1.7) on the way up, 251 m/s on way down. Lawn dart due to recovery bay leak. Build by students in Edinburgh, Scotland - flown at EuRoC in sunny Portugal.
Can we get a group “fingers crossed” for TUWien pls🤞

Satisfying arrangement, courtesy of yours truly. Can’t get over the fact I get the chance to interact with actual flight hardware every day!
Right now it is just a lot of tiny shiny pieces. Soon, these parts will be assembled into the main #cryogenic #valves for our 10 flight engines. These valves are used to control the propellant flow to each engine. They are the cardiac valves for the heart of our launch vehicle.

So proud of what the team has put together:) Get ready for some awesome launch footage... #hotnozzlesummer is coming to Scotland!
Endeavour’s largest technical team, Darwin, are developing advanced sounding rockets within Edinburgh 🚀. Our two vehicles under construction, DI & DII, will fly to 3km and 9km respectively, gathering data on our atmosphere with the onboard particle detector 🛰️
As an homage to the two innovative bicycle makers from Dayton, this first of many airfields on other worlds will now be known as Wright Brothers Field, in recognition of the ingenuity and innovation that continue to propel exploration. #MarsHelicopter
