ARWNET Ethiopia, Kenya and Uganda had the privilege of being part of refugee-led regional round tables advancing the Global Compact on Refugees at the High-Level Officials Meeting from October 29 to 30.
When she is happy, even very tired, she brings joy to her environment. She is the woman of ARWNET.
African Refugee Women Led Network (ARWNET) will be in training on women leadership from October 20 to 24 to equip them with the knowledge that will enable them to lead, make an impact, and enhance the recognition of women's leadership at all level.
Women cannot be compared to men. Just as we were created physically different, and just as we radiate physically, so too did the Creator shape us with wisdom and intelligence, full of energy and brilliance. There is no limit to what we women can achieve.
Women together produce a very powerful sound. Together we rise, together we act, together we change the world..
The African Refugee Women-Led Network was honored to be invited by the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa to participate in the “Shaping the Parliament We Want” Dialogue.
Oxfam International, in collaboration with Independent Diplomat, has announced the selection of two actives leaders from ARWNET, to lead a series of regional roundtables aimed at addressing the challenges faced by refugee communities. The roundtables will focus on localization.
Solidarity is a woman's art. A society without a single woman will never live in solidarity. Give the world to women and you will live in peace, good relations and solidarity.
HAPPY REFUGEE DAY TO ALL REFUGEE WOMEN AND GIRLS ACROSS AFRICA. YOU ARE CHAMPIONS
As the world marks World Refugee Day 2025 under the theme “Building Solidarity with Refugees”, the African Refugee Women-led Network (ARWNET) issues a powerful call to action: Prioritize refugee women, equip them with the resources they need to lead lasting change,
Appreciate the efforts of OXFAM International, Amnesty International and the African Refugee Women Led Network in conducting the 5-day advocacy training in Kenya/Nairobi.
ARWNET was supported by OXFAM international for the capacity building of 32 women from 16 African countries on advocacy from April 28 to May 02 in Nairobi, Kenya at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel.
ARWNET was in training from April 28 to May 02 on advocacy facilitated by AMNISTY INTERNATIONAL. 32 women from 16 African countries were trained in advocacy.
You can stop a person, not a team. ARWNET launches like an arrow to amplify the voice of organizations led by refugee women. Together we rise, together we act, together we change the world.
A woman who knows herself and her qualities can't give in to the threats of the world. ARWNET raises the voice of women-led organizations working to save refugee women and girls, so ARWNET will change the world's view of refugee women and girls.
"The power to make our stories heard lies in advocacy. Let's advocate, act, and transform. ARWNET has a life story for refugee women and girls." Chair Lady CLP
Women-led refugee organizations provide vital support to women, girls and the wider community. ARWNET engages in advocacy as a strategy to influence decision-makers and policies in favor of women and girls.
