Being blind is just saying "OK but does it work with screen readers?" until you die.
I wish parents of Disabled kids on here didn’t go trying to look for abled acceptance based on pity and instead attempt to find a loving Disabled community for their kid 😩
If you think a disabled person is overreacting to a space being inaccessible, realize that you're probably the 7000th person who they've dealt with that couldn't bother to do the bear minimum for accessibility. It's exhausting.
I cannot believe that in 2021 a blind person cannot vote independently in the Canadian elections

It’s odd because when I’m doing ‘well’, looking ‘independent’, responsible and put together, no-one can understand how I’m autistic or how I would need support. But when I’m in a meltdown or a shutdown, people can’t believe I am ‘capable’ of a ‘normal’ life with a ‘normal’ job.
