Only 1 week left to register for the "Next-Generation Tools for Measuring Exposure to Air Pollution" hosted by the HHEAR a part of NIEHS. hubs.li/Q03gh5zR0

See you soon at the Air Quality Measurement Methods and Technology Conference in Aurora, CO 4/23 - 4/25 hubs.li/Q03g9SDq0

Amazing work from our CSU collaborator @ShantanuJathar and co-founder @Smogdr @ColoradoStateU groups. They're out using the patented UPAS air sampling products to gather air pollution information in LA. Products developed with funding from @NIEHS @NIOSH hubs.li/Q034CsWX0

Published today! 100's of 24h personal & indoor PM2.5 & PM10 measurements collected at 2 LPM w/ UPAS compared to PMIs + Apex2 pumps; Spearman correlation > 0.8, normalized mean difference < 16%. All samples collected in the Central Valley w/ CSU & @CCEJN. hubs.li/Q02ZfnB20

We just released a new version of our astr package for reading UPAS and HHB log files into R! This version won’t throw an error if you try to read an empty sample log; it will just return a data frame with zero rows. Install from GitHub! #Rstats github.com/accsensors/astr

We just posted an updated UPAS v2.1 and v2.1 PLUS User Guide. What's new? 1) An improved explanation of what happens when you start a sample from the app. 2) Advice for preparing the internal Li-ion battery for shipping or long-term storage. Download here: hubs.li/Q02YQ8fD0

UPAS v2.1 PLUS

The UPAS v2.1 PLUS combines a quiet, wearable, easy-to-use particulate matter filter sampler with time-resolved location and pollution sensors.

Did you know that you can program the time-resolved PM sensor in the UPAS v2.1 PLUS to operate on a duty cycle so the UPAS can run longer on a single battery charge? Looking for advice on selecting the best setting for your sampling application? Chec... hubs.li/Q02YyqVf0

Choosing the best particulate matter sensor duty cycle for your measurement application

Guidance for UPAS v2.1 PLUS users on selecting the best time-resolved particulate matter sensor duty cycle for a specific air sampling application.

How do outdoor PM2.5 concentrations measured using UPAS compare to those measured using U.S. EPA FRMs and FEMs? Very well, actually! See data from a two-week collocation at a regulatory monitoring site in Denver in our latest blog. hubs.li/Q02WPlQC0

"Future studies utilizing high-resolution data could improve the accuracy of these measurements. Heterogeneity among different studies also emphasizes the need to standardize methods for measuring PM2.5 exposure and diagnosing asthma." #weagree hubs.ly/Q02Ws8XR0

Good morning #AAAR2024! We hope you're enjoying the conference! Our Director of Research, @Jess_Tryner, will present at 8:45 this morning in Ballroom A on Personal Exposures to PM2.5 by Microenvironment among Residents of California’s Central Valley. hubs.li/Q02TLkxX0

If you live in or near Alameda County, check out this link to see if you might be eligible to receive a new induction stove and participate in a study on indoor air quality!

The Health-e Communities program is now live! Ava Community Energy is partnering with Berkeley Air to assess indoor air quality for a new gas-to-electric stove swap out program. Qualified applicants will receive a new induction range, free! Learn more here loom.ly/Csl5uXY
