A phone case with sensors like a car does. Get a quick vibrate when you’re texting while walking so you ensure you don’t walk into anything/anything.

Ever thought about revamping the umbrella? Built in sections to reduce drag when wind catches it has been done, but why not include a built in sleeve for pulling over the umbrella when you’re inside? #umbrellaupgrade

Idea of the day: toilet paper holder with Bluetooth connectivity to alert you when: a new roll is put on, halfway through its use, critically low, and empty. Never get caught on the toilet without toilet paper again!

When you get bad news or get knocked down how do you react? Get back up and go at it harder than ever!

Every obstacle presents an opportunity. Don’t let it slip away.

I love hearing when people rave about how busy they are at their jobs. Yet, because they are so busy they are not actually productive or being used in the most impactful way. Avoid being busy, instead be productive on the priorities.

Preach!

I don't know a single person who got rich by just saving their money.

Idea of the day: real estate agents never truly work for the seller (or necessarily the buyer). They’re working to close deals not save you the most money. Create a platform that allows you to hit your price and incentivize the agent(s) to get it, not just salvage the deal.

Resources are (sometimes) the enemy of imagination.

Idea of the day: crowd sourced moving company, strictly moving locally to your beginning location. Post the number of people and trucks you need + estimated duration with rates predetermined for your beginning and ending locations.

Keep trying, keep failing, and press forward as if your life depended on it. Which it very well may!

I never really quite understood why small businesses stick to the boots on the ground mentality for growth. Yes, it is a way, albeit labor intensive. Whereas you can sprinkle in Facebook/IG ads, or a custom campaign/contest from your company for your target customers.

Idea: a “vacuum” that picks up children’s toys under a certain size into a bucket you can then set into it’s correct location.

Why is it every new business is called a startup now? I see Lemonade Stands by 10 year olds calling themselves startups. When in reality it’s just a new small business... like so many others!

Idea: create a reciprocity/pay it forward platform. Give help, get help. Give comments, feedback, etc, and receive it in return. @fiveideasaday

Idea of the day: QVC for millennials. QVC customer base is dying, millennials are here and commanding product trends. Create a platform to use that power to uproot QVC.

We all fail. So fail fast and learn faster.

90% of startups fail. Some for scaling too early, some for not having founders putting the time in, and for so many other reasons. What are you doing (or what WILL you do) to make yourself a success?

Truth!

In the end, people regret the things they haven't done, not the things they tried at and failed.

Idea: an app to better keep up with bar tabs instead of relying on cash and card when all is too busy! Open your tab, grab your drinks, and close it out when your night is done with.
