People in Donegal, Mayo, Clare and the the rest of the country are today broken by the level of discrimination of this government towards them #HowIrelandWorks
I think that a lot of the general public believe that the defective block crisis started 18 mths ago when the main publicity kicked off. It has actually been 13 YEARS. And it's no further along in terms of a workable resolution, thanks to the government.
Retweet.. We are second class citizens here in Donegal people are living in condemned homes and ignored but not Dublin! @LeoVaradkar @MichealMartinTD 15 counties have family and friends throught Ireland and it will show in the vote... You're FINNISHED
It is wrong to treat the victims of building defects differently. A defect is a defect no matter what the cause. All victims deserve equality, justice & 100% redress. There is no room for discrimination or inequality by our politicians in this horrific crisis. We shall overcome
It is wrong that the audit of quarries in Donegal could not audit the one that has caused around 1000s families to lose their homes It is wrong that so many pensioners and vulnerable people have been abandoned to deal with this mess on their own
It is wrong that we have to bring our kids up in homes that are 10-15 years old and are falling down around them and all they talk about is mica, mica, mica, mica It is wrong that this government has not put its citizens first but were happy to bail out banks at 64 Billion
It is wrong when @DarraghOBrienTD says the defective block scheme is 100% redress. we all know it is not It is wrong to make stress out, depressed, mentally unwell victims live in homes full of black mold, damp structurally dangerous homes waiting to get onto this scheme
It is wrong the the insurance industry are allowed to walk away from defective concrete homes It is wrong this scheme was dreamt up by @DeptHousingIRL officials without understanding the geological science of the problem in the first place It is wrong to not test foundations
It is wrong when we were told that they brought in a 90/10 grant scheme to help, it was more like 60/40 It is wrong to ask homeowners to pay 7000 Euro to test their home when @DeptHousingIRL knew most people couldn't afford this It is wrong that the banks are not helping
The defective concrete block scandal is so full of wrongs It was wrong for @donegalcouncil to ignore @micaactiongroup when they alerted them about the problem It has wrong for families to have campaign for 12 years It was wrong to blame mica, when pyrrhotite is THE problem
Let's stand up and win the housing policies we need. National Protest called by Raise the Roof. 1pm Saturday Nov 26th Parnell Sq Dublin. See you on Saturday! United we can win!
Relief accommodation is vital for families whose homes are now uninhabitable. Restricted from leaving homes that are part of the remediation scheme for fear of having applications rejected they are in a catch 22 situation. Everything designed to impede and thwart these victims.
After visiting homes last week with the international science delegation, there is a clear and present need for emergency accomodation for defective concrete homeowners in Donegal. We saw some shocking living conditions @PaddyDiver4 highlandradio.com/2022/11/21/ral…

None so blind as those that cannot see. Foundations are excluded from IS 465. You’re near enough guaranteed, if there is pyrrhotite in the blocks, it’s in the foundations. Are the engineers are restricted in what they can report on, Mica only?
@niall_blaney view on the scientists and foundations. Clearly he has a thwarted point of view. We need to question why does this man think he has any right to talk on behalf of the #Donegal people? #defectiveconcreteproducts #Mica #Pyrite
Not 1 Quarry closed #FollowTheMoney #HowIrelandWorks #Corruption at it's best.

We wonder why we continue to get stalled on rebuilding our homes & this is a prime example. Clear refusal to step up & aid homeowners. Use deflection onto the opposition. You are supposed to be representing ALL of Donegal. By the responses to this🧵 you clearly arent listening
This video of @niall_blaney in the Seanad undermining scientific intervention was shared at the end of a week when an international science team visited the devastation defective concrete is causing in Donegal.Happy to meet up & explain why science is key m.youtube.com/watch?v=yzLF1b…
We've been through enough already and yet we still have to fight for everything €0 spent on emergency accommodation for defective block victims, modular homes completely dismissed, Blaney telling us to sleep on sofas... There is zero political will to sort this out
However @niall_blaney continues to talk for us, the homeowners. He has his own agenda and it is costing us dearly. I cannot forgive him for making me stay in my unsafe crumbling home. #defectiveconcreteproducts #Mica #Pyrite
Creating a legal loophole. -you went within the barriers, no liability on us- so much energy should be put to proper use- a scheme that works is the place to start.
