'How much energy is in food?' In science this week, we took part in an experiment to find out which food had the most energy in. There was lots of learning taken place, but mostly around what we'd do next time!🙈.Some foods wouldn't burn! It made for lots of discussion though!

Hooke’s Law today with Y9. Students performed the practical brilliantly. Some fantastic graphs and we all seamlessly calculated the tangent for the spring constant 🙌
Today a colleague called in with a temperature - she had two triple lessons, first lot with Y8 and second lot Y7. We decided to bunch the classes together and teach 60 kids in the hall. I'm fairly confident this will happen again, so here is a short thread with things we learned:

Planning retrieval practice for year 11 biologists. Using last lesson, last week, last term, last year model. Incorporating @PatriceBain1 metacognitive key to support and guide their independent retrieval. ⭕️ know from memory ⭐️ needed to check notes.
