The body language of a player when they sub out will tell you a lot.. No eye contact, no high fives, walking off the floor, sitting at the end of the bench, leaning back in your chair all scream BAD attitude
A basic locker room has lockers & gear. A CHAMPIONSHIP LOCKER ROOM HAS: - LEADERS who set the tone - teammates who SUPPORT each other - athletes who RESPECT the coaches - ACCOUNTABILITY for results - APPRECIATION for everyone's role - TOUGH, HONEST conversations - CHEMISTRY & FUN
This is what scouts talk about at the highest levels. This will prevent u from getting a scholarship. This will keep u from getting a pro job. This will limit ur minutes or get u kicked off the team. Be careful of how u look on that bench because u never know who’s watching you!
HS Seniors: It’s the last year of your high school sports career. HAVE FUN & ENJOY EVERY LAST SECOND Stop worrying about how many reps, points, minutes etc and enjoy the last sports year of your HS career. Enjoy your teammates. You’ll always remember these days.

As a coach, you can’t make all your players happy all the time. You need the courage to do what’s best for the team, even if it upsets some of your players. Focus more on what your players need, not what they want. Be a leader, not a people-pleaser.
SSG Saturday: Offense starts outmatched (2 v 3). It then transitions to a number advantage for the offense (3 v 2) and then finishes 2 v 1 with the 1 defender being the person who shot on the other end.
As a coach, be open-minded, listen to new ideas, and be willing to evolve with your sport. Closed-minded and stubborn coaches eventually fall behind.
