i survived a fucked up childhood and all i got was this inability to tell the difference between what i actually want and what i think others want me to want
This year I told myself I would tour less, and then I went ahead and did 110 shows in 72 cities, 29 states, and 7 countries. I still can't believe that I get to do poetry as my job, and I'm not stopping any time soon.
So I love this line, but it's one where I don't think I adequately expressed myself. I know what it means to me, but I've never quite been able to get that out of my head.
