Veel oude steegjes in Nederland zijn in de 19e of 20e eeuw verdwenen door stadsvernieuwing. Enkhuizen heeft zijn middeleeuwse structuur grotendeels behouden,mede dankzij de economische stilstand na de 18e eeuw. Dit steegje en het koetshuis is nog precies zoals in 1600. Fijne dag!

Roemer Vlacq, de viceadmiraal die in dit Admiraalshuis woonde is een Goudse held. Tijdens de Slag bij Doggersbank in 1781 vocht hij tegen de Britten. Zijn portret hangt nog steeds in het huis en volgens lokale verhalen zou zijn geest af en toe door de gangen lopen👻. Fijne dag ☀️
