Tosh, an amateur enthusiast, was very pleased at the opportunity to play a master, and dedicated a live show to Pirc in 1981.


In 1978, 2 years prior to his death, Vasja Pirc played a friendly game with musician Peter Tosh while he toured europe. Pirc won, of course.
