Spending wife Lauri's 51st birthday nite @ Ronald McDonald house next to Blank's Childrens Hospital, so we can scoot over for Grace's treatment in morning (without having to brave a wintery highway). This place is fantastic, top notch, comfortable - my girls fell asleep happy.
Panorama HS girls (last nite) & boys (2nite) played their last games of season. Grateful 4 energy, joy, & fun shared as a coach [assist boys], Dad [Grace played Fr., JV, & few min. V], & as astonished cancer fighter. Won't 4get luv & encouragement from our opponents & fans. Thx!!
With school late start, hair recently gone, & 1st day to wear a wig, it'd been easy to say she didn't feel well & stay home, but Grace went to school, smiled, made best of her Friday...sooo proud!
Another day of chemo went well, perfect no-school winter day, & tonight it's ladies' "healing hands & paws" for Grace.
Purple power to fight Hodgkin's Lymphoma has been declared in the McDonough house, proof on Clayton's & Brice's wrestling shoes...we hope their power will be witnessed by all this Sat in Britt (post season HS wrestling is here)!

Coach Nic Peasley gave me these purple shoe laces last night after I complimented those he had laces up...with daughter Grace's Hodgkin's lymphoma diagnosis, it was Coach Peasley that let me know that purple is the color of support to fighting that cancer.
