Your demand that class size reduction should “pause” would leave more than a quarter million high-poverty students, most of them Black and Hispanic, in overcrowded classes for many more years, perhaps forever.

Where was the Class Size Working Group that worked on this mandate 2 years? I dont recall any phone call or email to ask our input. Statements by orgs that are not current parents leaders and dont know how this Law will be beneficial for ALL our children. @ChalkbeatNY

Another highly biased @chalkbeatny article which quotes not a single advocate or parent who supports class size reduction but instead hypes POV of anti-class size groups funded by Gates & pro-charter billionaires chalkbeat.org/newyork/2025/1…

I find it very strange that this reporter keeps writing articles against the class size law. The law has been passed and it should be universally applied regardless of the income level of the students in each school.

Did CB ever do a standalone article on inequitable distribution of teachers? Suburban poaching? Yet they cite a decades-long staffing disparity to editorialize against a once-in-a-lifetime CS law. 🤦 It’s fine, the Bx is used to first-year teachers as Chalkbeat covers the SHSAT.

Sorry, Steve--The Constitution isn't far left or far right. It's the basis on our democracy, and you're playing the terror card to try and overturn it. Won't work.

The issue before is now is very simple and clear. There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors and attorneys general. The only remedy is to use legitimate…

Thank you @ZohranKMamdani ! Yet once again @chalkbeatny shows its bias by framing class size law as union giveaway vs critical reform that most parents have yearned for and research strongly supports.

Mamdani visits IS 5 where classes will be reduced. He would not waiver from implementing the class size law. “The question of compliance has too often been a negotiation, as opposed to something that we are all equally working alongside to fulfill.” chalkbeat.org/newyork/2025/0…
