Nothing like a great coding session while listening to FFXIV music.
Alright men, I need your input. I’m thinking of throwing away my box of cables. You know the one. Will I regret this?

The streaming bubble is going to pop soon. So if services like Netflix and Peacock are going to remain competitive they need to start focusing on features instead of relying solely on content. There are a lot of great ideas out there, but they'll have to pay me to hear more 😉
2023 was a year filled with established tech getting worse. Spotify, Twitter, many streaming apps, etc. All became harder and more frustrating to use. I'm hopeful for a better year in 2024!
Sometimes client requests can be a little frustrating. "Make it pop", "I want it to stand out", etc. can feel vague and unhelpful. But in my experience, after working enough, you start to get a better idea of what they want.
"When we teach, so do we learn" While this quote wasn't about coding, it can certainly be applied to it! Explaining something to someone else does so much to really cement it in your brain. So if you want to be more proficient with code, try teaching it to someone else!
Has this one done the rounds yet?
Getting real sick and tired of @Microsoft putting ads into @Windows. The "Start backup" in file explorer might seem small, but it so intrusive. Please @Apple, I beg of you, make a legit gaming mac.
Very impressed with the direction @arcinternet is taking with AI. Devs are scrambling to add AI to their apps and most of them just do the generic "chatbot". Which isn't very helpful. Things like smart tab names and smart download names is a genuinely smart use of AI.
Too many developers start adding in new features to their apps before they have the core experience finished. Make sure your app is polished and consistent, THEN start building.
One of the things I need to work on is knowing when to consider a project finished. It is so tempting to keep adding features, tweaking design, etc. But if I don't stop myself, I'd keep working on a single project forever.
Finally had my first webdev nightmare last night. I dreamed that the current project I'm working on stopped functioning all of a sudden and everything was a mess. Woke up very relieved!
I generally don't have any issues moving back and forth between my Mac and PC. I am, however, having a really hard time going back and forth between @arcinternet and the old browser I was using. Arc is just too good. Can't wait for it to launch on Windows! @browsercompany
Never get caught up in a sunk cost fallacy. If something isn't working out, it could be time to walk away. And that is okay! It may feel like you wasted time, but there will be a lot from the experience you can walk away with. #SoftwareEngineering
Tutorials, guides, etc. are all great. But the only way to actually learn is to do it yourself.
90% of personal branding as a web developer is really just: ▪ Networking ▪ Continuous learning ▪ Showcasing your achievements The little stuff that makes all the difference.
