A simple heuristic that will save inexperienced startup founders from several different types of mistakes: be really cheap. This will save you from hiring too many people, from renting a fancy office, and from growing by buying users instead of making great things.
Thanks for the heads ups. I’m not on any top 250 lists, but I reminded them I was an entrepreneur and that they’d be losing out on AUM for me, wife, and my businesses. I’ll stay on the bal like white on rice.
They have a recording but it's only for training purposes and they never use it to confirm anything.. plus they aren't allowed to guesstimate the payoff which is why whatever they gave you is likely not the whole thing
I’ll see them in court if that happens. When supervisor asked me how much I wanted to pay today, I replied “whatever the amount is to pay in full.” I know they have a recording of it. I assume they don’t care much about “net promoter” metrics there?
Unless they gave you a payoff amount to pif today, it's gonna hit again for a minimum finance charge Worked there from 2005-2018 and now broke and unemployed because of them and their practices My podcast: anchor.fm/whyyourbanksuc…
Yep. Biz card. Would‘ve gladly PIF if they would’ve notified me in time. Rec’d paper statement only after fees were applied. They also claimed they had no way to get in touch with me and that I would know tmrw if pymt I just made was successful. Last time it didnt NAK for 6 days!
That's my former company in a nutshell. So short sighted. Was it on a BOFA credit card?
.@BankofAmerica 1) paid acct in full on 3/12, 2) closed acct on ph with you 3/15 - $0 bal confirmed, 3) 4/22 receive bill with bal + late fee + finance charge. Pymt was reversed for reasons you can’t explain. No eBills, emails, push notifications, texts, or paper bills for > 1 mo
Congrats @BankofAmerica for defining “penny wise and pound foolish” in addition to your atrocious customer service. You forfeited a lifetime of potential revenue from my family & business for $33.56 in bogus late fees and finance charges. I paid my acct in full on 3/12...(1/2)
