All 3 proposed amendments to HR 82 Social Security Fairness Act were “ordered to lie on the table” (equivalent to does not want to consider further). The vote to end debate passed 73-27. The next vote will be Senate approval on morning Dec 19 and sending to Biden for signature.
The Senate just took the first step to repeal WEP & GPO. Now we need to get it over the finish line. I urge my colleagues to keep the momentum and vote YES to send the Social Security Fairness Act to the president's desk.
