Remember when the President ran on a platform of unifying the country?
Building an economy for families who rely on their weekly paycheck – not their stock portfolios – to put food on the table.
Performative Presidency.
Congress, pass my minimum billionaire tax.

My son was bullied in school last year. The ‘cool’ kids harassed him in the classroom. And wouldn’t let him play sports at recess. We noticed how much he hated going to school every day. After months of being bullied he finally broke down and told me what was going on. I was…
no bail in of prefs and all opco and holdco bonds reinstated. Good for the financial system. Only issue is the 100bp spread wideneing out. Shouldn't be an issue given the expected gov't assurances and backstops. Not a done deal yet but good direction and hope details resolved
UBS offers to buy Credit Suisse for up to $1bn ft.com/content/ec4be7… Proposed deal looks good for CS creditors in both the opco and holdco recognizing the significant value at both levels. Also positive for financial system as it preserves the capital structure.

This guy’s tweet definitely didn’t age well. Didn’t understand that legit VCs were making commitments with their personal money, something he didn’t seem prepared to do.
I have to say this was a thoughtful and principled response.
Venture backed companies had a chance to see which VCs stood by ready to assist with payroll and other short term cash needs with zero interest loans and which hemmed and hawed or claimed their GPs didn’t have capital like that guy from a multi- billion quant shop.
