Batteries Can Cause Fires in Waste Facilities
Dem-Con processes 15,000-20,000 tons of shingles per year. Shingles that once were landfill-bound get a new use. The processed shingles get added to asphalt mix and become part of new roads and parking lots. They can also be added to gravel roads to control rutting and dust.
Our landfill in Shakopee accepts manufacturing waste, industrial waste and construction and demolition materials. Our landfill is lined and has leachate collection to prioritize human health and the environment.
