Thank you all for the advice! I just used @ExportData_io to download info for all of the people I'm following here, just in case. I don't want to lose those connections, so I'll reach out on other platforms if we aren't already connected elsewhere. Still hoping for the best.

Downloaded my follows, followers and tweets using exportdata.io, just in case. Wasn’t free but worked within 15 minutes.
I've just used this site to get info of all the people I follow (and who follow me), because the Twitter data export is essentially useless if Twitter doesn't exist. exportdata.io At least that way, I've got a chance of finding and keeping in touch with them.

An excellent alternative would be ExportData.io. It does not have a tweets/followers/followings limit and does not require a browser extension.
