The 2 youngsters rescued by firefighters in the 4000 block 14th St NW escaped serious injuries because their bedroom door was closed, preventing heat and smoke from entering the room. It is why we urge that folks sleep with bedroom doors closed. CLOSE BEFORE YOU DOZE!
