Voluntary groups hoping to take over the running of the 21 threatened libraries in Northamptonshire have been given a few more weeks to get their business plans together.
For Deanshanger residents these can be left at the library for FODL member Marion

Bit of a cheek - Northamptonshire County Council acquired this 100-year-old Carnegie library for free back in 1960s. Now attempting to sell it back to the same parish council it got it from for £195k. Was built by Carnegie on land gifted to Irchester by Lady Wantage.

Never feel guilty for reading a library book. Authors love libraries. And yes, we're paid a small sum for every book borrowed. It's called the @PLR_UK, and every author should register. All you have to do is enter your books on the database, and you'll get a yearly cheque...
