As a Syrian, I do not want the Syrian army to enter majority Kurdish towns. The Syrian government should be content with control of the borders with neighboring countries and should work out a compromise with Kurds on how to manage towns and cities.
The exact opposite of that is true, the SDF as an entity only exists because of US military support, and no other country would accept a statelet run by a Marxist militia on their territory. The war is over, and people need to accept that.
Cool story but Al-Hasakah belongs to Syria no matter the ethnicity of the Syrians who live there.
It’s now obvious to everyone in Washington D.C. that the U.S. backed the wrong horse in the midst of the Syrian Civil War. If the U.S. provided the Free Syrian Army with air support, both ISIS and Assad would have been defeated swiftly. Syrians stood alone and won anyway.
