The Tishreen Dam in North-East Syria is in danger of breaking because the Turkish army bombs it. If the dam breaks this would mean a humanitarian and ecological catastrophe as it would flood the Euphrates valley, one of the ecologically most diverse landscapes in the region.

Today marks the day on which the ecological activist Eva Maria Steiger, Elefteria Hambi, was murdered by Turkish airstrikes in 2019. To remember her, young people in Rojava recorded a song last year.
