F/Lt. James Baird Coward. AFC. One of THE FEW. bbm.org.uk/airmen/Coward.… Had a leg amputated after bailing out of his Spitfire badly injured. Later he was posted to Winston Churchill’s personal staff, in charge of air raid precautions. He survived the war and moved to Australia.
The black cab is an icon of London. Since 2009 hundreds of hackney carriage drivers (to give them their proper name) have offered free, accessible transport for attendees of the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Cenotaph. Thank you to them and the @PoppyCabs organisers
