@simonclarke84 I hope our local MP will support the petition against this madness. UK businesses need the ability to flex, contractors are vital to a stable economy. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/2623…

First accelerator day with the @coachingacademy today in sunny Crewe. Nice bit of weekend learning. #coaching

In order to be a great modern tester having great testing skills is just the foundation, we need to be focused on delivering a great product. This requires product management, uiux, technical and data science knowledge.

Day 1 complete of the rightly lauded @coachingacademy 2 day #coaching introduction in Leeds with @Agile_Bert. We've had the privilege of 3 top class coaches so far (including @AnnSkidmore ) Can hardly believe that this intro course is free! #lovelearning

Copies of the 2nd edition of Refactoring have been printed and are on their way to Pearson's warehouse. We hope to open up orders next week. martinfowler.com/articles/refac…

Excellent talk by @harper_360 at @AgileYorkshire tonight. Made me miss Aviva just a little bit.

Painful moment yesterday: Asked a Business owner to go through the project scope with me. The reply? 'How can we talk about scope (of requirements) when the solution isn't decided?' I feel the need to run some training. #cartbeforethehorse

Wish I was as #agile as my girls. They can bounce from school, to homework, to gymnastics and then straight into kickboxing without missing a beat, and still talk non-stop all the way home. It's all about the work ethic today. #trainhardfighteasy

High energy session on Friday from @Agile_Bert on the #agileprinciples. Wondered how a sometimes cynical team would react to going back to basics and was pleased at the positive and engaged response. Always worth going back to the fundamentals and having some discussion.

Am I the only person who dislikes subscription services as a business model? It feels intrinsically dishonest to run a model that benefits heavy users at the expense of those that pay but don't use it. But it means easy-to-forecast revenues and free income. 🤨

Excellent news and well deserved!

Having fun getting to know @AzureDevOps from a PM perspective. Looks great, but a part of me doesn't want to give up the old tfs implementation it's replacing..
