With Inside the Text being “complete”, now is the best time to binge the show if you haven’t listened before! Every episode is an entertaining and well researched exploration into some of the most interesting aspects of stories.
This episode rocks! I’ve never really given much thought to world maps, especially since I didn’t really grow up a fan of fantasy so it was amazing to think about all of the meaning implied by and extracted from fictional maps! 🗺

BONUS EPISODE: Are Deleted Scenes Canon? In which I discuss the strange phenomenon that is deleted scene discourse, how the abyss of canon affects interpretation, and how texts are fluid. patreon.com/posts/bonus-ep…
A follow-up bonus episode is coming out for patrons tomorrow! It's about the how the weird, weird thing that is deleted scene discourse gives us yet another angle from which to think about canon and the abyss.
NEW EPISODE! 🎉 Sacred Jedi Texts: Canon and the Specter of Endings 🎉 A longform audio essay about Star Wars, the abyss of canon, the undeath of authors and capitalism, and how maybe (definitely) we need more endings. open.spotify.com/episode/0PEjpG…
I think one of the biggest things I came away from the episode with was a perspective I completely lacked before. The way these unending stories keep me wanting more and asking more questions was never really something I thought much about. Or I guess I never considered the ‘Why’
