Teen suicides are rising. And it scares me.
Studying in my teens: I could cram 10 chapters in a day and still get decent grades. Studying in my 40s: I read 1 chapter over 3 days and am still unable to answer the end-of-chapter questions! Help! My brain's forgotten how to retain information!
So my 13-year-old daughter dreams of studying in the US after 12th grade. I casually tell her she needs to work hard and build her resume if she wants that. Without missing a beat, she replies, ‘In that case, I’ll just go to Canada!’ 😂 Clearly, hard work isn’t on her agenda!
