One of my regular patrons passed away very young from cancer this week. Last time I saw her was March, and at that time she hadn’t even been diagnosed yet. She was really nice and good to her kids. Remembering to be grateful this week, even during hard times.

This guy blamed ebook sales numbers of libraries, literally saying we were "cannibalizing sales." His math on that did NOT add up (I double checked it using his own numbers. My only conclusion is he didn't own a calculator)
BREAKING: John Sargent will leave Macmillan and its parent, Holtzbrinck Publishing Group, on January 1 "as a result of disagreements regarding the direction of Macmillan." Don Weisberg has been named his successor as CEO of Macmillan Publishers. Story to follow.
