With the government shut down, flights cancelled, and hungry people going without SNAP benefits, Trump leaves his newly gilded palace for another weekend of golf and parties in Palm Beach.

Donald Trump gave $40 billion to Argentina but is APPEALING A COURT ORDER to feed AMERICANS in need. The fact that this isn't the LEAD STORY today and everyday speaks volumes of where Presidential media coverage is in 2025.

I would have thought the government allowing 42 million SNAP - food stamp - recipients around the country to go hungry would be off the table in terms of what legislators would accept as a consequence of the shutdown. Truly infuriating and I hope the shutdown ends before 11/1. 🙏

It was one heck of a ride, Coach.   Congratulations to Tony Vitello, making history as the first collegiate head coach to move directly to MLB manager.

It's hard to think of an action more purely corrupt than a a president ordering the executive branch to pay him hundreds of millions of dollars. I cannot wait to read the MAGA defenses of this (and there will be many). They'll display Soviet levels of sycophancy.

Breaking News: President Trump wants $230 million from the Justice Department for investigating him, people familiar with the matter say. Any settlement might ultimately be approved by senior department officials who defended him or those in his orbit. nyti.ms/42PQfL7

My plan would restore power to the people and restore confidence in our democracy. 74% want Election Day to be a holiday. 75% believe gerrymandering is a major problem. 83% support requiring an ID to vote. Get to work, Congress. Give the people what they want and need.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s 3 Step Plan to Save Democracy: 1) Make Election Day a holiday. 2) Have independent redistricting commissions in each state. 3) Voter ID.

So the administration's argument is that these men are dangerous narco-terrorists waging war against the US and thus deserved to be executed, but also that the US should send them home rather than to try prosecute them in court. Makes sense.

Breaking News: The Trump administration has decided to repatriate two survivors of a deadly U.S. strike on suspected drug runners in the Caribbean Sea rather than prosecute or hold them in military detention, people with knowledge of the matter said. nyti.ms/4qjaV8f

I'm trying to figure out how sending $7 billion to Africa to save 20 million lives from HIV (many of whom are kids) is an outrage (America First! We can't afford it) ... yet somehow sending $20 billion to Argentina is affordable, wise, and responsible.

DOGE wasn’t a cost-cutting venture. It was a data mining operation for private interests. Trump opened the gates to the castle from inside for invaders with bad and greedy intent to plunder and exploit.

NEW: Social Security’s chief data officer, Charles Borges, has resigned, three days after submitting a whistle-blower complaint that alleged members of DOGE had uploaded the confidential personal information of hundreds of millions of Americans to an insecure cloud server.
