Drake Maye, Year 2: • 71.95% Completion (6th all-time) • 113.5 Passer Rating (13th all-time) • 77.2 QBR (24th all-time) • 8.9 YPA (36th all-time) For the “lifetime achievement” voters: every single one of these would be a career high for Matthew Stafford…
It’s only tough because it feels insane that Matt Stafford hasn’t won an MVP in his career and he has a stat line this year that could warrant sending him off the right way But the reality is Drake Maye is 2025’s NFL MVP
This is the toughest MVP race to call in years…. Drake Maye vs Matthew Stafford Stafford has thrown for over 4,700 yds & 46 TD’s. 12-5 record Maye has over 4,800 total yards and 35 TD’s. 14-3 record
For me, Matt Stafford blew the MVP in the 2 games vs Seattle and especially in the MNF disaster at Atlanta. I don't care how many TD passes he has thrown. Congrats, Drake Maye.
Drake Maye really led this team to a 14-3 record after going 8-26 the last two years combined. It’s playoff time. Hell yeah.
JJ Watt made the simplest case for MVP...which team drops off the most if you removed Maye and Stafford? Patriots are picking top 3 again and the Rams would still be fighting for a playoff spot with that roster and Russell Wilson at QB.
Maye’s MVP campaign is gonna get knocked because Josh McDaniels doesn’t like to throw short yard TDs smh
"VALUABLE... if you took that guy off of their team, which team drops down further?" Drake Maye is @JJWatt's MVP
The biggest difference I have seen in this Maye/Stafford MVP debate is the Pro-Stafford side is focussing on diminishing what Maye has done whereas the Pro-Maye side is presenting the data side by side.
Drake Maye and Matthew Stafford vs. common opponents this season (CAR, NO, TEN, TB, BAL, ATL): Maye: 6-0 record 117/170 (69%) 1,495 passing yards 13 TD 3 INT 259 rushing yards, 1 TD Stafford: 4-2 record 129/182 (71%) 1,544 yards 14 TD 6 INT -10 rushing yards, 0 TD
Scott Kacsmar has trashed Stafford’s MVP hype all season and suddenly because Maye is the favorite now he’s non stop defending his legacy lol
That pre-snap recognition is something that we don’t see anymore from modern QBs. Rivers is proving that mental knowledge of the game is just as important as physical skills

Let’s not celebrate that touchdown to Boutte for at least 2 minutes. Apparently there’s no statute of limitations on phantom penalty calls.
I need a league investigation into this officiating crew immediately. Game is under protest as far as I'm concerned. That's the latest and most absurd pass interference call I've ever seen
Although it amounted to nothing, those 2 throws by Drake on 3rd & long were absolutely ridiculous.
The officiating in the Patriots-Saints game is one of the worst I've ever witnessed.
Very cool to have a “game-winning drive” be 25 yards because a guy couldn’t put a kickoff into a specific zone. Thank you NFL!
Win down in Miami might as well count for two. Lot of things to sharpen but good gritty win.
