This is one of the most important things any government could do, and its taken too long for anyone to do this. Glad the PM has made good on his promise and everyone affected by these scandals deserves justice and a legacy where it won't happen again
I made a promise that as Prime Minister, I would bring in the Hillsborough Law, making sure the state can never hide from the people they are supposed to serve. Today, I make good on that promise.
Reform would screw us over once again. Labour are the only party that is serious about ensuring we get the investment we need in our infrastructure

Reform is led by Londoners who haven’t had a lifetime of using railways in the North. So I suppose it’s no surprise that they think it’s fine for us to be stuck with a second-class railway while the south gets modern, high-speed lines.👇🏻 We have higher ambitions for the North.

This is ultimately my thinking too. We cannot claim to be a party that seeks to govern the entire country with a leadership based in one city
Labour Deputy Leadership Given the geographical distribution of other leading members of the party & Government, it would not be acceptable to have a London Deputy leader. We need to represent and win across the whole of the UK. I’ll be looking to support a non-London woman.
