For those "Space Antenna" fans, here is the link to the 1963 paper on the Telstar1 Satellite antennas, which was written ~8 months before I was on the planet! It includes my new favorite VHF antenna and the 4GHz and 6GHz transponder antennas. #hamradio articles.adsabs.harvard.edu/cgi-bin/nph-ia…
I saw a Twitter post on the Telstar1 satellite from 1962. And now I must have a copy of the VHF antenna that was on the top of it. #hamradio
The future of Amateur Radio is the Cubical Quad antenna! Invest all of your savings in this antenna today. #hamradio Actually a great book on a fantastic antenna from Bill Orr (W6SAI, SK). For more radio and sound financial advice please like and follow…
Installed a new battery in a friend’s laptop and needed to run the battery 🪫 to zero for calibration. So I ran several of my favorite #HamRadio YouTubers in parallel to load up the CPU / power consumption. The combined audio was pretty hilarious. Who is the Dummy Load now?
Please make sure your antenna doesn’t forget which way to point once it gets up. #hamradio
Sometimes you just need a little help to keep the nearby 5kW AM Broadcast station out of your homebrew RF frontend. #hamradio BTW: Marki Microwave has a rather nice on-line RF filter design tool if you need one. markimicrowave.com/technical-reso…
I rather enjoy the sweep analysis capability in AE6TY's SIMnec program. It allows you to easily see the impact of component tolerances circuit performance. In this case a High Pass filter to kill AM Broadcast. Just be sure to put the frequency sweep at the top of the list.
Give them a call!
Not that useful when you’re trying to decode CW at speed, but an interesting graphic nonetheless. #hamradio #CW

Laser cut a clear Lexan case for the P3ST transceiver project. After all the soldering and assembly work, the only option was a see through case. A big “shout-out” to Aagaard Moto Foundry for letting me use their Glowforge laser cutter. #hamradio
If I ever start a business to sell ham radio antennas, I will have to fight the urge to name it something like Piggly Wiggly. #hamradio
