Today we were lucky enough to be visited by our school basketball team who have just won the the school national championships.
Also we have sent home parents evening forms please note that P2a is having parent's evening a week earlier than the rest of the school on the 26th and 18th of March.
This week we have started practising for our assembly next Thursday. We hope that we will see lots of you there. If your child has some words to learn please practise with them.
To go along with our body topic, P2a now has a doctors surgery corner. Ask your children if they have enjoyed using it.
This week we have had 4 children from P2a bring in books they had written themselves! Today Franek and Amy were our special guest authors as they read their books to the class. Well done also to Anabelle and Maya who brought in stories earlier in the week.
We had a real treat today as P2a was joined by three student teachers from Japan. The children particularly enjoyed teaching them the Dashing White Sergeant.
This week we applied our learning throughout our Houses and homes topic to create models of our dream homes.
Each Tuesday this month we have been lucky enough to have been learning some Scots songs with Julie, a Scots folk music specialist.
This Wednesday we will be making our own houses, so please send in any junk you have in the house. The children have some amazing ideas, photos will go up on Friday for you all to see.

Huge congratulations to our p2 representatives at the Scots assembly today. They were absolutely brilliant!
This week we will have 2 children from P2a performing the Scots poem Skaitin by JK Annand at our school Scots assembly on Friday. We will also be designing houses for different environments around the world.
The children of P2a are very excited about the Scots words they have been learning. They are looking forward to telling you all about their dream hooses, with multicoloured ruifs and muckle gairdens. Next week is Scots week in school so look out for lots more new words.
A great first week back. Starting next week the children of P2a will be running the class twitter on Fridays so watch out for lots of pictures and fun messages! please let the other parents know
First day back! We hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas break. During this half week we will be doing a special reading focus on some of the Paddington books that Santa gave P2a for Christmas.
