#BellLetsTalkI I live with depression every day. I'd be lost without my shrink.

I'm wearing my orange shirt today and remembering.

My computer is back, w/ a new hard drive and a new OS. It's going to take a little tweaking, but it's good to be back!

Will be offline for a few days as my grumpy computer will be going into the shop to see if they can fix it. Fingers crossed.

Katie and I had a great time bopping up and down to luscious, tuneful, jangly pop as Always played the waterfront stage at the Jazz Festival. The fog rolled in on our lovely summer Halifax night.

In Turtles All the Way Down, John Green writes beautifully about living with anxiety, depression and OCD. You don't have to be a teen to get how good this novel is. Thx to my wonderful niece Rose for suggesting I check him out.

Had a delicious dinner at Bar Kismet with my love. She's been working v. hard lately, but I'm glad we made time for this. The flour less chocolate cake was divine.

If you teach philosophy, you may find Sarah Bakewell's At the Existentialist Cafe facile, but if you're more of an amateur, this v. book clubby book is highly entertaining, especially from a biographical standpoint.

Finally saw Ocean's 8. What a delight to see a movie where the women are the big guns AND they get away with it. Sequel please.
