These also 25,000 empty houses in Wales. Surly targeting these would be better. Taxing holiday homes won’t solve the problem. Rental charges will just go up to cover the increase in costs. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…

Increased taxation will do nothing but push prices up further. The only way to tackle the problem is to build more social, co-owned an private houses. The more property is available the lower prices become. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…

"The reality remains that hospitality has been without financial support from Welsh Government since March 31st, and in contrast to England and Scotland, are without the certainty of restart grants or clarity regarding future support," - @WIRC10. business-live.co.uk/economic-devel…

Welsh hospitality industry welcomes new reopening dates but has concerns

Pubs, restaurants and cafes in Wales can now reopen indoors on May 17, this brings the date inline with England and Scotland

@WIRC10⁩ So political pressure, not science, wins out. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-…

@BBCWalesNews⁩ ⁦@UKLabour⁩ The only way the phrase ‘cronyism at the heart of Gov.’ works in this article is for the Welsh Labour Gov. to have colluded with Hancock over the placement of the order. Pretty certain this didn’t happen. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…

Fingers crossed - Hancock summoned to High Court to justify priorities on reopening after lockdown digitaleditions.telegraph.co.uk/data/558/reade…

It’s obvious the WG have little regard for the Hospitality Industry and the perilous position it is currently in. How on earth can they expect people to enjoy anything Tourism brings when there is no Hospitality to support it. Tourism and Hospitality go hand in hand.

2. We have now heard many times from WG , including directly from Ministers, that we will not be giving dates/roadmaps - they say they will provide dates at the review points when they are confident they can meet those dates.

Perhaps ⁦@JimBethell⁩ should spend a week working on a Covid ward just to know how lucky the Nurses feel. Not everyone is lucky enough to get £305 per day to turn up on a zoom call. bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politi…
