Hugely excited to share the first paper of my PhD! We found that 1 in 4 women in LMICs suffer perinatal depression. Highlighting the real need for a focus on perinatal mental health to improve outcomes for women and babies. Thanks to my team for all their work and support!

So proud of PhD student @aroddymitchell with her first-author publication in @JAMAPsych today! In a meta-analysis of 589 studies, she found that 1 in 4 women in LMICs experience perinatal depression – highlighting the importance of mental health resources in these regions.
