Expedition success! In late 2022, following COVID-19 related delays, we undertook our first field visit to Federated States of Micronesia as part of the @dfat -funded WWII Shipwreck Pollution Mitigation Project. We look forward to continuing this work with our partners in 2023!
Congratulations to our Research Director @ARCHAEOTechnic for being recognised by the @ExplorersClub and joining this incredible group of people. Every bit counts towards our mission of protecting the Pacific from polluting WWII wrecks!
Honoured (and humbled) to be recognised as part of the @ExplorersClub 50 for my work at the @MajorProjects Foundation. Huge opportunity to raise awareness about the threats #WWII wrecks pose to the #Pacific! explorers.org/the-explorers-…... #scuba #wreck #Archaeology #explorersclub

It's a TEAM effort to get epic projects like this going. Thanks to AusGov DFAT, SPREP, FSM Govt, Chuuk Govt and their agencies EPA, HPO, NACH and DECCEM. A shout out to Peter Morris, Dianne Tosland, Austin Baird, Jane Daniels of AusP3 and Paul Adams for his unwavering vision.
We're finally going back to Chuuk this month!!! Decaying World War II wrecks in Truk Lagoon contain oil that poses an imminent threat to the local environment and people. Thanks to AusGov DFAT and SPREP, we will help FSM manage this risk. youtube.com/watch?v=jtqnli…
