I’m really glad I have my @WestJet Mastercard so that I can fly absolutely NOWHERE from #YYT. No flights to YHZ, YUL and, as of October, YYZ of all places? What exactly am I supposed to do with this card and its “benefits”? 🤯 #westjet

@WestJet is such a joke of an airline. Replaced their Basic airfare with ultra basic, but it’s literally the same price and doesn’t have carry on. Once again this company is trying to drastically change air travel in NA for the worse.

@WestJet I am flight today from YYC to YVR and I was told due to a new policy I have to pay for my carry on bag that I have been flight with for the last 5+ years. I been flying on WS flights every month. Based on my experience today, I will rethink flying with WestJet.

Terrible service and communication! Even though we bought before the change we keep getting messages and emails that we cannot have a carry on. Spoke to customer service and they said we are good to go. Now at the airport we are told we can’t again. What the hell! Be better!

BUFFALO EXCREMENT! Bought a basic fare on May 29. To fly on June 4. My selected seat disappeared at boarding time! But people still fly @WestJet so WJ will keep doing what WJ wants rather than what WJ should!

@WestJet you need a rule where if board directors, CEOs are okay with making unreasonable changes like this "Ultrabasic" plan you went ahead with.. then they should have their pays cut temporarily to match the lower class to see if they can manage to afford these prices

i stopped flying them when they charged me $80cad for a checked bag one way back from the UK after it was supposed to be free. in flight entertainment system didn’t work either, crooks

Cancelled flight & delayed flight last week got me to my destination 12 hours later than originally planned. My return flight was 9 hours late. The ticket agent at one gate was not kind. Then received the UltraBasic email. I will now fly @AirCanada until they up their rates!

I agree, and have nothing against carry-ons, but ignoring the allowed carry-on size is wrong and should be stopped pre-boarding. So many flights we’ve been on are delayed because cabin crew are desperately trying to find space in the overhead bins which are crammed with huge bags

@WestJet is already trash. Late flights, downgrading to Swoop Planes, and forcing people with standard carry-on size bags to gate check.. all on one flight! Will NEVER fly #WestJet again.......

@WestJet what the actual f*ck. This is getting outrageous. I miss the old Westjet. The one that had a fun, accommodating, kind customer service. The one that went above and beyond for its customers. Does anyone else remember that? This is bananas.

It always surprised us that the size of carry-ons was clear but obviously mostly ignored.People stuff one or two massive bags with great difficulty in the overhead bins and cabin crew help them! Carry-ons should ALL be checked pre-boarding.This“solution”will just anger everyone.
