Advanced imaging is a game-changer in evaluating racehorses. This TB filly had LF lameness and w/work-up a hairline sesamoid fx was suspected.Simple standing PET scan w/CT @NewBoltonCenter proved suspicion-saved filly from serious injury, allowed for proper rehab, and good prognosis
The first equine PET symposium happened last week at PennVet New Bolton Center. A lot of knowledge shared and great discussions with over 50 attendants. Equine PET growing strong and fast! @NewBoltonCenter @ucdavisvetmed @equinepet
