Indeed, #CerebralPalsy is a lifelong condition, from childhood to adulthood, due to an early injury to the #brain. We therefore need to take a #lifecourse #health #developmental approach and focus on people with #CP and their families, worldwide. #CerebralPalsyAwarenessMonth

In the US there are many more adults with #cerebralpalsy than there are children. Adults living with cerebral palsy need individualized, multidisciplinary care that grows with them. #gogreen4cp #cerebralpalsyawarenessmonth

It's been a week without my regular power chair. My backup chair, though functional, doesn't seem reliable enough to go far from home. I'm now watching walking tours on YouTube to experience the outdoors again. Hopefully the warranty repairs are made soon.

I love when occupational therapists have birthdays because I get to wish that all their occupations that day have even more meaning. #otjokes

Happy sixth anniversary to my beautiful wife. Every year has brought new joys and challenges with some on repeat. It's fitting that iron is the traditional gift because our bond only grows stronger.

I support two factor authentication, but can we please develop a standard that allows those of us on the phone supporting older adults without direct to the needed devices to access the accounts neeeed #familyITguy 🙄🤔

I'm thrilled to announce that I have gone 100 km in my new chair and my joystick only fell off once 😬 #screwfellout #hasonlybeenamonth

Me after the pharmacist says, "This doesn't look fun," after filling my prescription.

I'm actively recruiting able-bodied people to advocate for my needs to able-bodied people running services I need. Sadly, they always seem to respond better to you.

This is becoming a disturbing family trend. Each morning we ask each other if we think anyone is coming.

Saying I hear you is just a passive aggressive way of saying calm down. Neither phrase is helpful when diffusing conflict.

Nothing about us without us is the foundation of disability rights. Unfortunately, disability services are often managed by those who know nothing about us. Why is it acceptable in disability services to hire people with no disability experience or knowledge as managers?

We are damned by those who speak for us as much as those who refuse to listen when we speak. This is the truth in disability. The people who are given seat don’t want to lose it and value it more than truth.

Disability is when getting out of bed and having a shower at your scheduled booking time is actually something worthy of a tweet.

Shout out to @DisabilityRehab as the first journal I've encountered including #AltText as well as figure captions as part of the submission & #PeerReview process #Accessibility

Disability is waiting 90 minutes after your scheduled booking time in the morning then being told "I don't have time to give you a shower" because of an unfilled shift and no getting no response to your email from management.
