Today was one of my favorite activations! To introduce story telling through graphs, students wrote their own stories for a given graph. A scenario about a dog’s water bowl turned into alien abductions, mouse traps, fish swimming, etc. They were so creative!! #WeAre7B 🔥🧠✏️
Students were randomly paired today to work on square root function transformations. First time doing transformations with square root functions but they tapped into their previous knowledge and hit the ground running. Look at those sketches! ❤️🧠✏️ #WeAre7B
Today students created tables of values to help refresh our brains of linear, quadratic, and exponential functions. Then they swapped boards to practice writing equations from the tables. Class wrapped with a desmos activity to further reinforce this concept. #WeAre7B ❤️✏️🧠
Success! Their 20 second Ping Pong Parachute likely puts them among the top ten here in Syracuse. A few events left before the 5PM medal ceremony. #weare7b
