Bitwig is so rad, I just hope one day it has the same level of editing that Pro Tools has.
Zed now supports agents over zed extensions!
Augment Code (@augmentcode) and Opencode (@opencode) are now available in Zed. 🎉 Both agents run natively through ACP. Install them in seconds from the extensions store and use them alongside Claude Code, Gemini CLI, or Codex.
Zed Roadmap Review - mark your calendars for November 18. @maxbrunsfeld and Franciska Dethlefsen will dive way deeper than our public roadmap and share what we're building next. And yes, we'll cover git features. 🤩 (link in reply)
Ghostty on macOS now copies multiple formats into the clipboard. If you paste into rich text apps now, it'll preserve formatting! If you paste plain text, that'll work too. I think Ghostty may be the only macOS terminal other than the built-in to do this. Coming soon to GTK.
I wrote another blog post covering more Zed teammates and their journey from open-source contributors to hires at Zed Industries. Check it out!
Before we were on the same team, they made Zed better. We’re grateful to build alongside @smitbarmase and Bennet.
Please, no more Windows wen comment! 😂

This year, we managed to ship Python 3.14 support for uv and Ruff on the day of the stable release. A big lift from the whole team. We wrote up a guide on some of our favorite features from 3.14, and how they affect our tools.
With ~900 PR merges per month, even we find it hard to keep up with every new Zed feature landing. 😅 Hidden Gems aims to showcase some of the not-so-obvious features and workflows that we rely on daily. Give it a read, and if you have hidden gems you rely on, let us know!
JetBrains is adopting ACP. Every @jetbrains IDE will support any ACP-compatible agent. Combined with Zed, Neovim, and Emacs, that's one protocol implementation reaching developers everywhere. Agent developers: the ecosystem just got real.
