By-the-numbers look from our #FirstintheWest Caucus: ✔️ 105K total turnout ✔️ 75K during early vote, 30K on caucus day ✔️ Turnout was 20K higher than 2016 ✔️ 35% of electorate non-white ✔️ Majority were first-time caucus-goers nvdems.com/press/by-the-n…
My point exactly. 👇🏼 I get how y’all feel right now; this is a competition. But at the end of this relay, we need all of *US* to win the final race. Either you have the knowledge to argue your points respectfully & intelligently, or don’t argue at all.
Dear Presidential candidates and campaign supporters: You can’t win the presidency without the rest of US. #ThatsAll
"It’s time for our State Party and elected leaders to look at shifting to a primary process moving forward.”
THREAD: NV Dems release statement on successful 2020 caucus and shifting to a primary system ⬇️
Just one correction — this applies no matter who the nominee is. Frankly, I see as many Bernie supporters saying they’ll do this as I do anti-Bernie people claiming they won’t vote for the nominee if it’s not Bernie. I support Bernie but I will not — cannot — support that.
Crazy world when Sanders gets the most votes, has 18,000 at his rallies and continues to get bigger & stronger... And pundits keep saying he “can’t” win & we must pick someone who can’t fill 100 people in a room bec that somehow indicates that s/he can beat Trump. 🤯 #nvcaucus
Credit where credit is due. @nvdems & folks like @LaKeniaem were committed to doing everything possible for an organized and transparent caucus - & they did it. Props to the thousands of vols, staff & candidate staff for donating their time in service to our democracy. #NVCaucus
Nevada is about as Asian as it is black. Any mention on how Asians voted?

I caucused for you in Nevada. Thank you for the correct pronunciation. You won my district precinct. We were Black, white, Asian, Latinx, female, male, and at my age of 49, I was the oldest of the ones there today (don't know the early voters). #BernieForNV
We keep hearing about the white, black & Hispanic vote in Nevada, but no network has mentioned the Asian vote, which is almost as much as the black vote in the state. Whatever happened to diversity in conversation in the media — why is the Asian vote being ignored? #NVCaucus

We appreciate Congressman @tedlieu so much for stopping by Bonanza High School today at the #NevadaCaucus and thanking all the volunteers! Everything ran smoothly thanks to the hard work of @nvdems! #FirstInTheWest
