"Off I go to do my trap!" the 6 year old says as he heads out into the back in hopes of finally developing a device to trap a squirrel so he can study it. He says he has studied bugs and dogs but squirrels and birds scurry away too quickly and he can't get a good look.
I'm not one who fastidiously tracks analytics or tweet performance. I have seriously never checked the analytics dashboard. But just from a cursory glance on the page, engagement or the algorithm is off or weird or slopified in some way. Just sort of dead.
Me holding the baby 6 year old: "I don't think she knows how to be mad. I don't think she has feelings." 4 year old: "That looks like a real baby."
Good morning The sun is up again, and so are we. There's always more to do, more places to go, more things to learn, more to grow, and more to see.
There's a directness and rapidity with which things happen with the computer and the internet and it's one that didn't exist before. There's very little lag time. We type and it appears, we send and it's there. And now I have no patience because of it.

We actually have one of these in our nursery right now. I bought it on eBay. We've been having our newborn do her laps on it every morning after she wakes and every night before she goes to sleep. She's already wearing clothes for 18 month olds.
