The coolest part of #OpenGo2019 will definitely be the training sessions led by @goinggodotnet & @jcbwlkr! Tickets: opengo.io Schedule: opengo.io/schedule/
In this talk @sheriffjackson walks through the areas of complexity in a system and what patterns you can employ to ensure performance and availability even in a failing world.
Decisions are based on numbers (not gut or feelings) and their numbers say the larger Go community wants this, I disagree. If you disagree, this is your opportunity to provide data to the contrary and voice your opinion. #golang github.com/golang/go/issu…

TIL: You don't need to return from a function that ends in select{}. But you do if it ends in <-make(chan struct{}). #golang select{}: play.golang.org/p/0zmoqCfUHw9 make(chan struct{}): play.golang.org/p/jP7lFcBvazS
Great interview with @goinggodotnet at @velocityconf earlier this month! He touches on the state of the Go industry and where its heading, Kubernetes, and share his thoughts on the "serverless movement". #golang #kubernetes #velocityconf
This is an interview I gave at @velocityconf a few weeks ago. It's about Go (obviously) and training. I think it went pretty well. #golang youtube.com/watch?v=PSR1tw…

Here's a pretty neat guide on using Terraform 0.12 to organize, configure, and deploy resources to @Azure #golang #opensource
Read this blog to learn about the benefits of Terraform 0.12 and how to migrate to it on @Azure. @joatmon08, developer advocate at HashiCorp, teamed up with @OpenAtMicrosoft to create this guide: hashi.co/2Fz3EN6.
Saw the „ask“ setting for tls in the @caddyserver docs for the first time today. Ooooh my gooood this is so freakin awesome and benefiting my upcoming project in so many ways. Thanks @mholt6 and others for this awesome piece of software!
Caddy 2's architecture is novel. I highly recommend this conf if you: - are a front-end dev looking to rapidly develop web sites and apps - write #golang-powered web services - are curious about cutting-edge Internet tools / server tech - care about Internet security and privacy
Come out to #OpenGo2019 and get a close up look at how @caddyserver works under the hood! #golang #opensource

Today we moved away from nginx to @caddyserver. @hashnode community and all the individual devblogs are now powered by Caddy. It's a major improvement and drastically reduces the SSL handshake time, thereby reducing TTFB.

A good captain doesn't sail without life rafts. Attend @carlisia & @cantbewong's #KubeCon Shanghai talk to learn about items that need to be backed up, why you need selective restore capability, and existing tooling to simplify and automate a DR strategy. bit.ly/2IMshYI
Caddy 2 will grant you a lot more control over automatic HTTPS. Still on by default, but you can turn it off for specific names, or turn off just the cert management, or just the HTTP->HTTP redirects, for just certain names.
Do a live demo they say. It’s gonna be awesome, they say. OMG! I put a gazillian hours making this work. At least it works now. Unless this jinxed it. Btw, KinD is awesome ❤️
The @nats_io crowd will be there!
