I’m reading the book *Seven Databases in Seven Weeks*, and although I’ve only read about 30 pages so far, it already feels like the best recommendation I’ve come across in a long time. PS: My understanding of databases is quite basic.

My review of AWS's MemoryDB paper. It's interesting, they hacked up Redis to make it durable and consistent: emptysqua.re/blog/review-me…

There is one characteristic of a good programmer - that they shape the world to their liking, not that they shape themselves to the world’s liking. If you build resume projects you’re doing the latter and it looks meh. A few projects to get the hang of things? Sure. But come on…

What sort of side projects can I make that will look great on my resume as a SDE1 / SDE ? I keep coming across this question a lot, and I thought I will make a post about some of the side projects I made over the years. Don't make projects for your Resume I mean, yeah…

Here's something @BehluliLedjon & I have been working on: locality-aware repartitioning for @msftorleans! It shuffles grains between nodes in the cluster to reduce cross-network calls, resulting in 30% to 110% throughput improvements in early benchmarks.

This talk by the CEO of @AntithesisHQ is such gold. Easily one of the best talks I have watched. He talks about testing distributed systems and takes a great example of testing the Super Mario game. I am blown away truly 🤯 youtube.com/watch?v=m3HwXl…

Every time I encounter precision and recall I need to brush up their definitions for forgetting them the next day 😭. If that’s true for you as well, say no more 🥳! In today’s lecture, we finally understand *visually* how to evaluate a binary classifier! 😇😇😇
