today my therapist told me "if your absence doesn't bother them then your presence never mattered to them in the first place" and i felt that
i go silent when something upsets or hurts me. it's a coping mechanism i have developed over time. instead of expressing my anger or frustration, i simply withdraw and try to process my emotions in private.
stop breaking your own heart trying to make a relationship work that clearly isn’t meant to work. you can’t force someone to care about you. you can’t force someone to be loyal. you can’t force a person to be the person you need them to be. let it go.
