Here's Dr. MacKenzie's plan for an 18 hole "Approach & Putt" Par 3 Course at Augusta National @TheMasters @fried_egg_golf @garrett_TFE @AndyTFE #themasters
Alister MacKenzie drew up plans for an 18 hole par-3 course with nine double greens at Augusta National. It was never built. On tomorrow’s podcast, Josh Pettit, founder of the Alister MacKenzie Institute, joins to detail the history of the golf architecture at Augusta National.
Best nugget on the pod was that Jones was humble enough to know he needed a professional.

I somehow learn a ton more about Augusta National every year, even when I think I've know all there is to know. A big part of that this year was from @garrett_TFE's podcast with @DoctorMacKenzie open.spotify.com/episode/1alXA2…
There are a ton of vintage images of ANGC, but this one is one of my favorites. In color, it’s slightly easier to make out the golf holes, the mowing lines and the bunkers of the original MacKenzie/Jones design. This should be framed in the #Golffice. Have a great @TheMasters
