Pet peeve of mine is when you have to submit something with a lot of external settings, and you have one of the settings wrong, but in the submissions they tell you what the setting should be instead of just saying "We adjusted that setting, don't worry about it" lol

instance_change() works fine in Game Maker. People have used it very incorrectly and haphazardly. As a result, they've caved and started depreciating the function lol I've used it successfully for years, and I've never seen anyone complaining about it use it right.

My favorite question re: AVGN 8-bit is "why is his hair light brown and not black?" and the answer is- it's an NES palette, and most of the backgrounds are black. The sprite adheres to palette restrictions and the hair needed to add to the silhouette. It's that simple lol
